Morning Veil

Morning Veil captures the suspended stillness of early light, that fleeting moment when the horizon is present but barely defined, softened by mist and quiet atmosphere.
Working in layered acrylic, I build the surface through gentle tonal washes and subtle palette knife texture. The upper half carries a diffused luminosity, while the lower tones settle into muted stone and chalk, allowing the horizon to hover rather than dominate.
This piece is not about a specific coastline, but about the feeling of stillness, hushed, pale, and expansive. Edges dissolve into light, and the composition rests in balance without interruption.
