Weathered Shore

Weathered Shore is a richly textured abstract landscape inspired by the beautifully imperfect colours and surfaces found along the coast.
Layers of chalky white, warm stone and soft putty tones are interrupted by small fragments of muted sage, charcoal and earthy red. Gathered along the horizon, these subtle marks suggest distant rocks, shoreline and weathered land without defining a particular place.
Built through layers of expressive palette-knife texture, the surface has a wonderfully tactile, time-worn quality. There is a feeling of wind, salt and landscape softened by the elements, balanced by the calm simplicity of the surrounding neutral space.
